Miami Beach Guide for Travelers

Miami offers year round sunshine and the whitest sandy beaches in the world. Getting here is very convenient when flying into Miami International Airport. (MIA) There are over one hundred airlines flying into and out of MIA each day to over 150 destinations world-wide. If you want to plan your trip in advance, or treat yourself to an impromptu getaway, Miami is a great place to go. You are sure to find flights that fit into your budget and your schedule with so many international and domestic airlines from which to choose.
Miami International is preferred by travelers worldwide because of its one terminal structure. Eight concourses located in one terminal with moving sidewalks to assist travelers from concourse to concourse make arriving and departing the airport both convenient and easy. The airport is designed to cater to the traveler and is loaded with many amenities. If you are hungry, MIA offers everything to eat from Burger King, to fine dining at Top of the Port. You will find food ranging from ice cream to authentic Latin Cuisine at La Carreta's. Relax and unwind with a visit to one of the many Cocktail Lounges located throughout the airport. The airport even has a health club if you have time for a workout between flights or during a layover. You will also want to be sure and visit the art gallery located in Concourse F. MIA is a multi-cultural and multi-dimensional hub whose art fulfills the mission of embracing its visitors to a warm and friendly experience. A visit to the art gallery in Concourse F will give you a sample of what you will experience should you decide to visit South Beach during your stay. South Beach is only fifteen minutes from the airport and is famous for its art-deco district.

Your arrival to Miami International will land you within a few miles of Florida's most popular destinations. The airport is located within six miles of downtown Miami, Coconut Grove and the International Mall. The airport has many transportation options available. There are six car rental companies to choose from, each providing a courtesy shuttle van for convenient vehicle pick-up. Taxis are available 24 hours a day at the airport. You do not have a shuttle reservation to ride the SuperShuttle, but if you prefer to schedule your ride in advance, there are several shuttles that provide service to MIA. You can take a rail service to many of the surrounding areas such as Broward or Palm Beach. Public transportation is available to take you to downtown Miami or the Brickell financial district.
